Help a young person go to camp this summer!

The Episcopal Diocese of Michigan YAYA Ministry and Living Water Ministry are partnering again this year to bring under-resourced young people to Camp Stony Lake the week of June 24-29, 2018. We have identified 50 young people throughout Metro Detroit who would like to go to camp, but don’t have the money or items needed for a full camp experience. Living Water Ministries is taking care of scholarships for their camp, but transportation and essential items are still needed. YAYA Ministries is handling the transportation, but the young people still need toiletries, towels and other items to take to camp. This is where we want to partner with the members of our congregations.

If you could click on the above graphic to download and then display the poster and tell people in your congregation about this project, it would be most appreciated. Every item donated means less things for us to purchase, and increases our ability to help more young people. As you know, the impact of Christian Camping is immense and life-changing. Please help us share God with the youth of Metro Detroit.

I am happy come to your church to pick-up  donated items. Monetary donations should be make out to “The Episcopal Diocese of Michigan” and sent to Eric Travis at 4800 Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI 48201.

Thank you for being willing to help us share the love of God and the impact of Christian Summer Camp with the young people within our Diocese. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

You may also make a secured donation by credit card, using the form below.
