Renewing the Spirit of the Diocese of Michigan
God is at work in the many people who make up the Diocese of Michigan. From small home gatherings to soaring gothic buildings the renewing spirit of God is active and present in the ministries that are transforming communities and engaging seekers.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that we are “members one to another” and that we are given “a variety of gifts” activated by the same Spirit. The RUACH Project is a recognition of our connectedness as the people of the Diocese of Michigan. We recognize that we are all share in each other’s trials and triumphs and that collectively we can do more than we could ever hope or imagine. It is in the spirit of connectivity that we embark on a journey of renewal – to see ways to re-imagine and reconnect with each other as individuals, as congregations, as community and as a diocese.
At its core the “RUACH: Renewing Spirit” is about working towards a diocese where every structure, organization and congregation is vital, thriving and reflecting the joy of being together in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It is our fervent prayer that God will bless our efforts to be good stewards of God’s many gifts and to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of Southeast Michigan. We invite you to join in that journey!
