St. Paul’s Lansing: Gone But Not Forgotten

Rev. Karen Lewis and people of St. Paul’s Lansing recently buried the remains of two men in their memorial garden. Ronald and Manuel, who both lost their lives to AIDS, were left behind by their families. Their ashes sat on a shelf at the Lansing Area AIDS Network facility, unclaimed, for decades.

“We remember all those who have died of AIDS. Especially those who have died alone or estranged from their families,” said the Rev. Karen C. Lewis. “Our hope is to help them bring closure.”

Ronald and Manuel were given a proper funeral and burial thanks to St. Paul’s Lansing. To read more about this, or to watch the news coverage, click here.
