Prayer for The Oxford, Michigan Community and for all Victims of Gun Violence

As a diocesan community we hold dear our sisters and brothers in Oxford who today have suffered a uniquely American tragedy. We despair in the death and the wounding of the young people from Oxford High School. We offer our prayers for them, their families, loved ones and friends – and for all people who have suffered senseless pain from gun violence.

Tonight, we hold our young people close, listen to their fears, offer our prayers to God and resolve that tomorrow we, as a diocesan community, will do all we can to end this pain.

May their souls and the souls of all the departed to the mercy of God, rest in peace.
