Chrism Mass & Clergy Renewal of Vows

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Bonnie A. Perry, and The Rev. Dr. Donald Kreiss, Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Southeast Michigan Synod, invite you to two joint Chrism Mass services on Tuesday, March 31. We invite all clergy and lay to attend either service during Holy Week.

General Convention 2024 approved alternative liturgical language for various parts of the Good Friday service. The resolution includes a call to “extra sensitivity to concerns about language that in our current time is perceived as anti-Jewish or anti-Semitic” and offers suggestions and revisions to the liturgy.
